Basque Cherry Tart

Our Basque Cherry Tart is perfect as a surprise Valentine gift or as the sweet finish
to a Valentine’s meal. This recipe, handmade in our bakery, is a stand alone,
completely unique recipe unlike any other. The crust is not quite a cookie, not quite a
pie and not quite a cake and is melt in your mouth. The filling is our own tart cherry jam,
made from our Montmorency cherries grown here and harvested during last year’s hot
July, and then cooked in our kettle to the perfect stage. With its understated elegance,
this tart is one that we make for special occasions only.
